Development Communications -Strategy - Support
My wide-ranging expertise was honed through professional service to diverse nonprofits raising $1.5 to $100 million annually. Until 2016, I served as Chief Development Officer of the National Council of Jewish Women, a membership organization founded in 1893 and comprising 90,000 members and supporters in over 60 chapters nationwide.
I previously held positions as the lead fundraising professional for the International Center of Photography, a distinguished museum and educational institution based in New York City; Repair the World, a national nonprofit promoting volunteerism by Jewish young adults; Learning Leaders, a NYC-based nonprofit training volunteers to serve in 800 city public schools; and Publicolor, an innovative youth development after-school program.
I have served as a consultant for Let's Get Ready, a college access/success nonprofit, Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion, the Central Park Conservancy, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Office of the Mayor of the City of New York, among others.
I began my nonprofit career building and directing the development special events department of the NYU Medical Center (now NYU Langone), where my team and I planned and implemented over a dozen major galas and hundreds of other benefits and cultivation events annually.
Prior to joining the nonprofit sector, I served as a special events manager for the ABC Television Network, coordinating major conferences and client hospitality for such premier events as the Super Bowl, Monday Night Football, the Indianapolis 500, US Figure Skating Nationals, and many more. I wrote and produced corporate and nonprofit videos for The Equitable, Starlight Children's Foundation, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
I graduated from Harvard-Radcliffe and later pursued doctoral studies at Columbia, where I received an M.A. in Art History and Archaeology.
I'm a proud member of Women in Development and the Association of Fundraising Professionals New York, serving as an occasional panelist, panel moderator and instructor. I am also a member of NPCC (the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York) and served on the Selection Committee of the 2017 New York Community Trust Nonprofit Excellence Awards.
